Autumn is our favorite time of year. The long hot days of Summer fade into the shorter crisp air days of the Fall season. The bright orange, red, and yellow in various shades are seen everywhere.
The apples are great eaten whole, served as cider, or made into donuts and pies. Our family loves the apple cider pound cake Dad makes (includes 3 sticks of butter 6 eggs and 3 cups sugar) just this time of year. Then there is the pumpkin pie, pumpkin muffins, and Ashley's favorite pumpkin bread.
But decorating for this season filled with holiday and celebration is the best. Beginning with Back to School which always has leaves and pumpkins on display and Labor Day says goodbye Summer. We are reminded of our history and give Honor with Columbus Day and Veterans Day. Trick or Treat brings out more and more decorations each year. While spooky stuff many get put away the fall decorations of PUMPKINS, Plants, Flowers, Corn Stalks, Hay Bales and more can stay through our most grateful Thanksgiving Day holiday.
Our family enjoyment of this time of year is shared with you in the Northern and Central Virginia area. Pumpkins are just plain fun, and brighten any home with the many sizes, shapes and colors. We are very familiar with much of the delivery area having lived and worked here for almost 35 years. Dad (Tom) was at Fort Belvoir beginning in 1986 attending the Army Officers Combat Engineers School. Tom deals with most orders and a lot of the deliveries. Ashley works with the website, marketing and design. Brothers Taylor and Shelby also help with delivery and pickup, and supply chain issues. Oh and then there is Hamilton or Hami for short (he's a teacup terrier), he provides moral support and doesn't mind getting his picture taken. He might even come along for a delivery now and then with his older "sister" Milli" (not a picture taker).
We are centered in Fredericksburg. We have made our primary delivery area roughly 75 miles around or 90 minutes from Fredericksburg. Within this time and distance, we can be in Richmond out to Charlottesville, up 29 to Culpeper Warrenton area, and then into Loudoun County to Fairfax Alington and down through Prince William Stafford and anywhere in between. If you are outside these areas don't feel left out. We can consider delivery areas further out, just give us a call.
